Whenever Christopher Nolan announces a new movie expectations will skyrocket. Such is the standard he has set form himself and his movies over the years.

His next venture titled ‘Dunkirk’ is the story of the evacuation of allied soldiers form the beaches of Dunkirk. The movies stars Tom Hardy, Fionn Whitehead, Tom Glynn-Carney, Harry Styles etc. 

This time around he is not satisfied with giving you IMAX experience, Warner Brothers, distributors of the movie has created a fully immersive VR experience of the beach scene form the movie.

The footage created by joining hands with Intel, Microsoft and Dell.

Usually such VR footages look best on UHD 4K screens. This, however, required the team at ‘Practical Magic’ to stitch photos up to 40 times that resolution. That is super intensive task and was accomplished by combining Dell’s servers and Workstations possessing the latest Intel Xeon processors. It give three perspectives to the viewer, from air, water and land. The film will hit the cinemas’s on July 13th. Those who want can get the VR experience right away. The experience is fully immersive on HTC  Vive and Oculus Rift. User’s who don’t have access to those can view this using YouTube 360 or Facebook 360.
