The coming September 24, Google will organise the Google Play Indie Games Festival at the Terra Gallery in San Francisco. Game developers residing in US and Canada will have a prestigious platform that gives them to reach billions across the world, compete to win great prizes and Google ad campaign support.
Submissions are accepted till August 14, 2016 and Google will decide 30 games which will be featured in the festival, and three winners will be chosen out of those 30. Entries are open to US and Canadian developers with 15 or less full time staff. Only games published on or after January 1, 2016 or those to be published by December 31, 2016 are eligible. See complete rules.
Furthermore, Google has specifically maintained that they are going to encourage virtual reality and augmented reality game submissions that use the Google VR SDK and the Tango Tablet Development Kit.
Amazing, isn’t it?
